Has anyone obtained a CofA...specifically for a 1979 model year 924 Turbo?

If so...let me know...I would be interested in hearing what country your request was sent through. I would also like to compare notes with what I received back on my '79 ROW 924 turbo.

regards,
Paul

Got one my 931, it was a joke. "Black 924 Turbo" was about all it said.

at least yours said "turbo". Mine just said 924 coupe. It did give me the engine and ranny numbers...but that was just about it.

924's have not gotten a lot of COA love over the years. Wasn't long ago that you couldn't even GET one -- the request "could not be fulfilled".

true...914's were once the bastard child too and have since evolved....I don't think the CofA program has a lot of love in general...I am getting the feeling they have a bunch of summer intern kids who don't give a Sh*t looking up the stuff.

When was this? I got mine in '97.

It is a novelty. If you call customer committment & prove you own the car, they will tell you all of the same info.
The color codes, engine & trans numbers as well as all options were listed, nothing I didn't already know though.

vince,
if your interested in blowing $100 bucks to find out very little more about your car...then have a look here.

http://www.porsche.com/usa/accessoriesandservices/porscheservice/ownerservices/certificateofauthenticity/

I am curious if you get any more info than I did given your car is a 79 euro too.

I have one for my '89 951, and other than the fancy paper, and nice folder it comes in, not much info on it.
