Hi,

I'm just writing this to introduce myself. About a year ago, I bought a 924 as a fun project car. Although it has been a great car so far (good body and no mechanical problems), I still have bunch of work to do.

When I got the car, it had been sitting for at least 2 years outdoors here in Oregon with bad door window seals. I'm sure you can guess what issues that brings. I recently pulled out the carpet, and the sound dampening insulation was turned into damp insulation. The vinyl backing was degraded to the point where I thought it was damp particle board until I came to some that hadn't been soaked.

It has some electric problems that I am working through the shop manual and fixing one at a time. (No headlights, running lights, or blinkers and that's just one problem)

Last person was also working on restoring this. He pulled some of the stuff off and I didn't get it. I'll post in parts later what I need. Still it is a great looking car and I look forward to getting to know you as I work on this and maybe make some friends in the process.

Respectfully,

Fightingblind

Welcome! I am in similar situation. I got a project car about a year and a half ago. Partially converted into a track car. Needs everything. You will find this board to be very helpful. Searching through old posts helps too. Use google's advanced search though. It works pretty well.

If you're interested, there's an annual meetup of 924 folks at the Portland Historic Races, check out the stickied thread here:
