| I have been working on my 1978 924 for about a year now. Car had sat for 7 years and had some nasty tar and fuel in the fuel tank. Fuel tank was removed, professionally cleaned, and lined. New fuel pump, filter, and injectors were installed. Fuel distributor was sent off and redone. New spark plugs were also installed. Found several small vacuum lines were unhooked and got those put back into their respective spots except 1. It has a screw plugging the end of it and there doesn't seem to be any vacuum leaks. The cold start was replaced as well. Car starts hard-takes around 5 minutes to get it to hold a tough idle. After about 5 more minutes, car runs good. I can drive the car in town or on the highway for around 20-30 minutes before it starts to stall out-like it's running out of fuel. Car re-starts immediately and runs rough again. If I let it sit for a few hours, same thing happens again. Sorry for the long write up here but I wanted to cover everything that was done to this car. I am stumped and do not know where to go now. Any advice?? |

Have you performed a proper CIS test?
Test your WUR's bimetallic strip heater resistance?
Have you tried tuning the car while its hot and running rough with a dwell meter?
Have you consulted with vacuum line routing diagrams to find out where that hose goes? _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Make sure the lines, filter & wur screen are clean.
Check injector spray patterns.
Check all of your pressures. |
