Hi guys,
Yesterday i was trying to remove the starter motor from my 924 NA (1981)
I already got stuck at the heat shield around the starter, I loosened up the 3 bottom bolt but the shield is not moving an inch afterwards...
Is there an other screw at the top of this heat shield around the starter? And how to acces it? From top, bottom or rear?
Thanks |

Yup, it ties into the other heat shields and the motor mount.
Break out the PB Blaster and the long extensions.
You'll probably want to remove the oil filter and maybe even the alternator to get enough room to work and clean up the old oil and accumulated debris. _________________ Stefan
