Check out my new baby!!

My first Class A.. I have owned/sold a few trailers and a 5th wheel I still have but never a motorhome until now.

I love this thing, it is an old Holiday Rambler, 81. One of the last produced by the original company, very high quality.

This thing is all riveted smooth aluminum siding and roof, no possibility of delam. All aluminum studded walls and roof, no wood structure whatsoever. 454 chevy big block, 400 turbo trans, runs and drives cherry, 75k miles. Huge 6.5kw genny works excellent, AC's work, most everything works.. Interior is in pretty good shape too.

Stole it for $1300...

Of course it needs work here and there but it is an extremely solid platform to build on. Need to service the hydraulic leveling jacks, needs tires, replace airbags, fuel return line, vac lines (duh), exhaust leaks, lot of little stuff but that's half the fun of it.

Anyone here ever pull a 924 4 down?

A friend of mine down here in AZ tows his 944 Spec four down. He removes the front bumper, and connects a home-made tow bar to the bumper shocks. Some people say that's not a good idea, but has worked well for him. FWIW, we bought an '04 Winnebago Vectra 40 foot last night. Wifey liked it, has all the whistles and bells, and floor plan she likes, and only 25K miles on it. Looks brand new.

Jealous!

You should come down with the trolls next summer, stop by Waterford for a race weekend! There's plenty of room for RV's at the track, and a good party going after hours, I hear... and yeah, flat-tow the Toofah down for some laps on the track at lunchtime while you're at it!

We used to tow-dolly ours to the track, the first season of racing...
