Hi people,

Just introducing myself. Have had a 944 for 4 years. Just bought a little '78 924 which is 2 tone. Have some problems I need to sort out. Pleased to be part of this forum.

Its a 38 year old Porsche, why do you think anything needs to be fixed?

Hi.

Suspicious paint job:
2-Tone was applied only to the 931 and surely not eligible for a '78 n/a.
Kind regards,
Harm.

Harm isn't wrong, check under the carpet in the trunk to see what it was from factory and hopefully it was just an application over the original paint.

Also take a good look in the batter box area and make sure that there isn't a rust issue there. This year of car was made before they started galvanizing the metal before paint.

Green tartan interior, you don't see that on a Civic.

My understanding was that 1978 was the first year for complete galvanizing. Prior to that, just the lower portions were galvanized?
