|
|
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if my fuel pump Pierburg 7.21659.02 has a built in check/holding valve? My connection to the banjo joint doesn't appear to have a spring valve inside, its completely hollow!!
Cheers,
Robert. _________________ Robert.

Btw. My check valve threads are 10mm pump end and 12mm banjo end. strange as the correct check valve is 12mm both ends!!
Can anyone advise part number for this particular valve. Don't want to replace accumulator just to find the check valve or lack of ! is also the problem
Cheers. _________________ Robert.

According to the Pierburg documentation:
Model E2T / E3T fuel pumps are self-priming
toothed ring pumps and have been
designed to handle higher fl ow rates.
Located on the delivery side is a pressure
holding valve, which depending on the
model of the pump is either integrated
within the pump or is accommodated in
exchangeable screw-in fi ttings.
An integrated pressure limiting valve
prevents the occurrence of excessively
high pressures and thus possible damage
to the fuel system.
It doesn't say which models have it built-in though. |

Hi thanks Rhialto. Just googled that and it makes sense.
The other reference on the pump is 05T089.
Been searching on the net for that but nothing comes back if check valve or as you say pressure holding valve is integral. _________________ Robert.
