|
|
The previous owner of my '80 924 NA took out the windows, which allowed the interior to get pretty soaked. This caused major rusting at the hand brake and cable. I found a new handle, but can't get the nuts off of the old rusted cable end, so I think that the cable may also need to get replaced.
I'm having a hard time sourcing this cable, and wondered if there is some sort of VW/Audi equivalent part which may work for this...the only ones I can find are for 85 & up models, no dice for '80.
Any suggestions are appreciated |

Recommend soaking the offending part in 50% acetone, 50% ATF. It will free up. When you reassemble, liberally apply anti seize. Easy peasy. _________________ Toofah King Bad

4-lug and 5-lug cables are not the same...different lengths, different attachment, and different ends. If the OP's car has 5-lug, the ebay cable will work. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Occasionally, there is someone on the board parting out a car. _________________ 78 924 |
