Last night I was cleaning those rubber covered rocker covers on my 931 and started thinking it probably would be a good idea to pull them off for a proper cleaning underneith. From what I can tell it's just two nuts front and back that attach those to the body, correct? After working on a couple of 914s I can tell you there's some bad stuff that can accumulate under rocker covers. _________________ -----HAIRY ANT NEST RACING-----

There are clips all along the rocker underneath the door sill that are riveted onto the body frame. The clips at the front and the rear are bolt on, so you should remove those bolts first and then you can sort of peel the panel off of the clip/rail. You also have to remove the plastic rivets that hold the end pieces on, which wrap around the fender openings. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
