As the title suggests there's a new addition to the household and she's destined to be a fun little sport to play with...a 1987 Porsche 944!

She's a pretty Alpine White beauty that wears a Burgundy Pinstripe interior and has just under 92K original miles on the clock. I'm the third owner and the previous owner, an 86 year old gent, bought the car in 1991 from a university student or employee (I'm not quite clear on this), the first owner.

I've already started a page for her on my website and will be documenting my progress with her here:

I've always loved this color combination which is one of the biggest reasons I got this car. I'll need to source some of the cloth seat material, hopefully stateside, as both seat bottoms need some repair but the rest of the interior is in pretty decent shape. I'm really looking forward to working on this car as well as doing some mountain cruising with her! I also plan on running the Route 66 Fun Run with her this coming May.

Just a FYI, I will be parting out my '86 944 Turbo shortly since I picked this baby up!

Very pretty, that interior is spectacular!

I heartily recommend the FTech solid state DME relay and the Rogue NA-Tune + MAF conversion (soon to be available from Lindsey Racing). IMO, best bang-for-the-buck upgrades available for the 2.5L NA motor.

Thanks Dan. I may consider some mods for this car after I've driven it a bit but we'll have to see once I get into it more.

Love these cars in white. Great score.

Thanks Leigh, I agree that white somehow shows the purity of the design of many cars but really works with the 924/944 and even 968 lines...call it sultry!

I was able to tear "Da Kid" away from her studies for a bit and decided that the new addition will be named "Liebchen". Christina thought it was appropriate for someone who was white and fast...in many respects I must agree...and she's a sweetie as well!!!
