Hi guys!
I have a Single Weber 40 dcoe (NO pressure regulator) on my 1979 california car. I finally brought down my fuel tank to fix a leak and am ready to put it back in the car.
So i have two concerns before i mount the tank. 1) Under the tank are 2 tubes/hoses, a large one that connects to the fuel pump suction, and a smaller one that i believe goes to the engine. Would this smaller one be the return line? If yes, where would it lead to (i only have one fuel line going into my carb), or rather, where would it have led to originally? Or can i just close it off (assuming it is non-functional for my carb setup)?
2) At the top of the tank are two tubes, one very thin long tube originating from about the center of the tank. Would this be for the emissions hose leading to the charcoal filter and on up to the air cleaner? (Long gone from my car btw). Can i just close off this little tube (since i no longer have an enclosed air filter housing)? Then there is this larger diameter tube, i think this goes to a longish tube thats part of the fuel neck filler (is this the vent Hose?) I cant make out or identify all the lines based alone on the schematic i see in the owners or chilton manual. Thank You!
