| hello yes from Malta..I am trying to save one out of two 924's I aquired some months ago. Maybe I might find some time to tinker with it. Looked around the forum and seems to be a good informative forum. |

Hello!
Related: Anyone in malta or coming to malta?
Speaking of Malta:

A forum member who went by the handle dreamgts had a carb project he was working on. I had exchanged several emails with him, and he mentioned some unspecified health issues. I have a bad/sad feeling about his fate based on the ominous statement above, and the fact that his last post was on 04 Jul 2012.
Newbie, if indeed you ended up with dreamgts's cars and parts lots, you might be interested in reading up on his threads here.
The other memorable forum member for Malta is sparky, who has a heavily modded 924 with suicide doors. Haven't heard from him in a while either.
Hadrian017 is also from Malta, and is alive and well (we're connected on Facebook), but I believe he's moved on to a 951.
924fanatic was 17 when he joined in Feb 2006, and had a 1976 model. He didn't last long...last post was in Oct 2006.
There's also this guy, nrop, with exactly two posts:

I am also from malta and I have 2 porsche 924's (76' & 79'). I currently buy all my spares from the UK since I dont know of anyone in malta who sells second hand spares! If anyone knows from where to get second hand spares in malta I would really appriciate it if u post a reply.
Thx,

So my questions:
How do you remove the fuel injectors and clean them?
My car seems to "backfire". What is the cause of this? How could I fix it?
When idle for about 10 mins my car also starts to "jerk" or "miss" a little. Has anyone ever had this problem?
This is prob the stupidest question ever posted : I currently have a 4 speed manual transmission and I would like to upgrade to a 5-speed manual transmission. What does this require? Could it be done? How much do you estimate it will cost?
Thx for your time,
nrop. |

| good day ideola, I have no knowledge of the persons mentioned , yet I will try to read some of the posts point out. I do not know who's cars I bought since I was directed to them by my daughter who happens to be a friend of the previous deceased owners daughter..there are not much 924's laying around for sale in Malta due to its size though I know the ones I purchased have been stored as left by the previous owner for about 2/3 years .It would be cool to complete a project which was someones elses dream though i am looking for a modest car to have fun with . |
