I have the opportunity to buy a near mint dash from a friend here from a 1985 944. I double checked PET to make sure it is the same (looks identical at a glance) but PET lists the 924 / 82-83 944 dash as different from the 84-85 944 dash.

Anyone know the difference ? Mounting points or different switch holes or ?

I believe the 924S has the 84-85 dash and I replaced mine with one from an '83 944. It bolted straight in and I didn't see any differences.

I think the texture is different and probably the color too.
