I was busy stripping some parts off Sabine yesterday getting her ready for paint and when removing the light bar mechanism from the passenger side this little plate fell out from between the triangle shaped bracket and the body sheet metal. I'm guessing it's for aligning or shimming. I've taken a few cars apart but have never seen this particular little part :

Anyone know what adjustments it is for exactly ?

It might be needed to shim the headlight bucket left to right in the nose panel. A royal PITA by the way.

It is a shim for the headlight mechanism.

Not only to shim, but you can use it to push the pivot triangle piece forward in those slotted holes in order to get the bucket properly aligned. There should be one for each of the pivots.

Nope, only found one. The other may have fallen out when I was removing them though, I will look. Kinda looks like The Mummy if you squint...

I haven't seen this particular shape before on a 924. But according to Dan it's original?

I see it in the PET also: 477 805 663 Desk pad.
But there is no quantity mentioned, so it looks like it's a bonus if you have them
