This thing refers to special tool to remove the rear brake drums. I couldn't find it from ebay by simply searching for "vw castellated nut tool"
Ofc i could just get a regular big enough socket, but I'd rather get a right tool since the nuts are super rusted.. |

I've always used an air impact wrench and a 6 point socket. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

My air impact wrench isn't powerful enough :/
Also, this car has been sitting outside here in Finland (snow, and a lot of rain) for 14 years and the wheels didn't even have middle caps. The nut is REALLY rusted in place. If i can't find a proper tool i will try to open it with a 6 point socket and 2 meter pipe, but if possible i would like to minimize the problems. |

I use a Made in China 3/4" socket drive set, using the included breaker bar, with a pipe extension. Also, to keep the wheel from spinning, a big pry bar between two wheel lugs, with one end of bar braced against ground. Might want to wear a helmet if all that sht starts to fly~! _________________ '83 944 Track car.

The nut is 36mm the cheap Chinese 3/4" socket and breaker bar with a pipe on it will do it.
I have a 3/4" impact wrench that takes them off with ease. [/quote] _________________ 84 944--924 Carrera GTS clone w/520HP Chevy 302 V8--RUNNING!

| Hmm, thanks for tips. I've been spraying WD-40 to both wheels for 2 days now every time before i go driving. However the PB Blaster seems to be a lot different by the way it works. Gotta see if i can find something similar here. At least a quick google search didn't find anything similar. Only WD40 and CRC |
