Rear speaker cover or seat different between 924 and 924s?

I have a 1979 924 without any rear speaker covers
I got some nice 924s covers but it seems like the cutout for the rear back seat top bump stop does match what is currently bolted on my car.

the cutout on the board is round and my bump stop seem to be oval shaped.

was there a different bump stop used on later cars?

I believe the shape of the interior quarter panel changed slightly when the fuel cap went from exposed to covered in 79
