I happened on an 88 this weekend, its serial 0601, has right mirror delete, pwr, sport package, may be fair to good, , MAACO paint job, etc, but has all records up to 165 and at 180k miles. It's being looked over by a Porsche indy today. I always liked Porsche, but only got to GTIs, looking to do some track and fun...
Anyway does the last year and SE make it any more value as is? It runs drives since good, seems harsh on suspension, but def needs some resto.
Any input would be awesome tks ![/img] |

Image thing didn't work. I just sold mine, lower mileage, great interior, miss the car already! The car has the M030 suspension package, albeit, probably needs a refresh. The engine is bullet proof IF maintained; lots of hidden fun with a high mileage bad history engine. It would make a great track car if in good health. I couldn't do it on mine, it was too nice. You'll miss not having the passenger-side mirror if you track it. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

I would not pay $7K for that car. I'm not sure I would pay half that given the description of condition and high mileage. It's a special car, but not that special, and better examples can be had. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

| Thanks for the input! I got the report from the mechanic today and found a few things that need done a couple locked up calipers, improper pwr stng mount, all belts, water pump leak, (timing belt r&r), no AC, small hole in cat old tires, , etc about 2k of work at least, the body is solid, but unless it goes lower, may need to pass, as u suggested, I have looked and found some better kept options, 924 and 944s... I am adding some more photos of this 924S to the link above... |
