In which orientation do the 2 transaxle bushings go in shifting coupler?
Mine have disintegrated and I know of no reference to the direction to replace them.
79 n/a 5 speed

The "ears" go on the inside. You push them in from the inside. There's only one way they can go in. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Thanks Dan!
I got them together and switched the ratchet lever to install! Few days and I'll be back to smiling. Except for that loud fuel pump. Any word on the compression fittings? My 79 doesn't have banjo bolt....
Also any more info on the 9/24 gig? _________________ 1979 924 Diamant Zweischicht.

Sorry about the tardy reply on the compression fitting. Pretty sure I have a Walbro fitting kit that will give you what you need. I've been traveling insanely for work the past two weeks, and will be until next Sunday. Have only had 36 hour turn arounds over the weekend, so not much time to chase stuff down!
RE: the 9/24 event, I'll get some posts up here and on the other forums in addition to the Chicagoland FB group. The event is definitely on, and we're set up to accommodate anyone who wants to camp out. More details to follow, hopefully within the next week or so. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
