I replaced timing belt and fuel pump. Now I set timing at -10°, but performances are not good , 0-100km in about 13s.
I found this photo on internet, timing is not -10° but first mark before 0.
What's correct timing setting for 924 na 125hp?
Thanks _________________ Porsche 924 2.0 na 125hp (1979) euro

Do you have a Haynes manual? it should be written there.
Also, in the engine bay you should have a sticker that tells you what the advance should be. _________________ Supercharger and EFI kits

I have no haynes manual and now even online version is out of service.
The oil pump mark is aligned to flywell mark on 0, it't possibile that exact timing is 0 on this version? Now I aligned even mark on camshaft to this value. Is enough or I have to set some advance? _________________ Porsche 924 2.0 na 125hp (1979) euro

From Haynes:
1976-1980 European models, 125hp engine:
10 degrees before top dead center at 950 +- 50rpm with vacuum hoses disconnected _________________ 78 924 |

No ignition timing, but valve timing.
The oil pump mark is aligned to flywell mark on 0. Then I have to align even crankshaft mark exactly or I have to made some advance ? _________________ Porsche 924 2.0 na 125hp (1979) euro

Crank and Camshaft must align.
Ign timing is 10 deg but find mine likes 8 unless I use 98 RON fuel which is $6 a US gallon _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

Timing marks are on the FLYWHEEL, not the front of the engine.
There is an opening near the master cylinder in the bell housing you need to use to set your timing. _________________ 1987 924S SPEC car

Ok but my question is when Mark on camshaft is centered, Mark on flywell must be -10, 0, +10, One Mark before or after zero, ecc ? _________________ Porsche 924 2.0 na 125hp (1979) euro

With cylinder 1 at TDC, the camshaft AND the crankshaft pully on their MARKS, the flywheel mark should be on 0 degrees.
The IGNITION timing for a 924 na is -10degrees on the flywheel markings, checked with a stroboscope ( timing light) at 950rpm and the vacuum hose disconeccted from the distributor. _________________ Porsche 924 1983restored

The mark on the crank pulley and oil pump should align with the flywheel mark.
If they dont the flywheel was refitted wrong. _________________ Porsche 924 1984 (UK import) NA

Yes, three marks match , now I have only to set advance with timing light. _________________ Porsche 924 2.0 na 125hp (1979) euro
