I'm working on refreshing the gaggle of hoses around the filler pipe, and have lost track of how the cloth vent line is routed from the filler pipe to the nylon pipe that goes to the engine compartment.

Any detail pictures of this area, from above or from below with the tank removed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

rasta

Which car? I think the 924S is slightly different than the 2.0L cars...the cover is definitely different...

Not concerned about the cover. . .I reckon I can figure out how that goes on.

My recollection was that the early 944 and 924S carried forward the same setup as the toofah, but maybe that's not correct.

The 924S is the same as S2 931, that I do know as I've been into the fill neck area of both. The smaller vapor hose that's goes up into the B pillar is connected to the plastic vapor hose that runs all with the fuel lines to the engine compartment. The larger hose in that area connects to the vapor extraction on the tank with the odd liquid trap device.

Thanks for the reply. I bought a replacement for the cloth covered line that goes from the second check valve to the hard line, but pulled it apart so long ago I wanted to verify routing.

That's why I was hoping for photos.

I have some on my build thread but here there are again. You can see where the two vapor lines from the tank have been disconnected from the fill neck in the first photo. The second shows the smaller line with the check valves. That connects to the plastic hard line going up front.

IIRC that was just clipped to the edge of the fill tube opening in the trunk pan. Just a retaining clip to keep the hose from getting pulled.

I think you can see the spot in the second photo Rasta. It's the slightly clean area on the edge of the opening. You know that cover is sealed with tar and that's were the clip was under.
