After taking my stock 924 on a trackday i am now looking at doing some upgrades:

Brake pads, i had some basic brembo pads that are now glazed, what are my options for front pads? EBC? any other good brands out there?

Brake cooling, i have heard of some people fixing a wind deflector to their control arm to get more air to the brakes. Anyone has a picture?

High temp front wheel bearing grease recommendations? the greasy that was in there got so thin from the heat it started dripping out.

Seat recommendations? the stock ones are not really amazing on track, but since this car is my daily the seats would preferrably still be reclining for access to rear seats. Anyone have experience with Corbeau psr/sparco r100?

The body roll is quite bad honestly, i have a 21mm front sway bar and no rear sway bar. If i add a 14mm rear sway bar, should i upgrade the front as well?

Heres ny recommendation after doing trackdays since 2004.

Pads, I used Hawk HP+.on my na back in the days, worked very well without being to bad on road driving, together with motul rbf 600 fluid, and freshly rebuilt calipers so the pistons move freely. Do that before doing anything else, most likely it will work perfectly, even for longer sessions, working on the brake technique is also important,.short and hard braking builds less heat than dragging them.

Red line cv2 grease is great, the grease type makes hughe difference, some types ends up like water at track day temps.

The spring stifness is comically soft, prepare for an update with for example gaz coil overs. Even the 23 is also very soft but better, the later s2 or 968 bars are thicker but trickier to adapt. The rear 19mm 3 hole adjustable bar is still reasonably priced new last time o checked.

I dont know what tyres you use, but add front end camber and make racier alignment, it makes alot of difference in front end bite.

Agreed with all that... we too use Redline CV2.

5-lug brakes with a good pad can run all day long... even without added cooling... of course, the worse (more stock) your chassis is, the more you have to slow down for the corners, working the brakes that much harder...

+1 on the 968 Cup car rear ARB, still a killer deal for the quality. But you may have to add mounts.

That said, you'll still just be trying to overcome the soft stock springs, so like Cedric said, a proper coilover upgrade with a lot more spring rate will really be want you want for track work.

Along with that you may well find yourself wanting to also upgrade bushings in the suspension; all the stiffness in the springs on stock rubber bushings will start to become a mess...

Even the std brakes can do endurance racing with std power, but the feel is of course much better on the 5 lugs and no brake adjustment in the rear, which is frequent with track driving

One advantage with 4x108 is that there are much more wheels available, at least in Europe. Like the PSA alu steelie look wheels that weighs like 4.8kg or so

To be fair, its probably one of the cheapest cars to run for track days. Of course still costs money to do, but just a fraction what something more modern and heavy costs to run

If you really want you dont need to do much at all, proper brake pads/fluid and some track day tyres is really all you need for pushing as much as you want. Camber, toe and caster can be (and should be) adjusted without any mods aswell, which is nice. But of course if tou want to improve there is many ways to spend money, but if you have a budget its always good to think first and spend later, and to properly drive the car really hard first before buying stuff, then you know what you want to change.

Back in the early 2000s i was a student and ran many many trackdays with the na I had back then on a tiny little budget. Hawk HP+/RBF600 fluid Pads, 50eur peugeot steel wheels with some serious track day tyres, maxing out camber up front. Thats it, I shared the car with my dad aswell so it did double the stints, and never complained, loads of fun, and learning

Ancient picture from back in the day, i think 2005:
