just wondering if anyone else can compare.
So, a few days ago, I drove the 968, (which has 19" wheels) Noted the steering feel, then same day I drove the 951 which has a Manual rack with 17" 225 front wheels, and I thought The manual rack really isnt that bad, not that much heavier than the 968 power rack. In fact If you didnt know the 951 had a manual rack, you might not think it did. My friend when he drove the 951 actually commented on how he like the feel of the steering.
Contrast that to the 931, that you can tell is a manual rack!
Can anyone who has driven both, tell me their comparison?
One thing I know is that I need to install new strut mounts, as mine are quite shot, but Im not sure how much effect that would have? _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |

Comparo: '81 vs '90
'81 has 7 x 16 with 205/50, while the '90 has 8 x 17 with 215/45 fronts.
'81 (1000kg) is very heavy at park speeds but beautiful once on the go, while the '90 (1300kg) is still relatively heavy at parking speeds and comparable at higher speeds
However.......my d/d pickup (2000kg) is in another world. Light at parking speeds and a little heavier at cruising. The wonders of modern technology. _________________ 80/81 932/8 ROW |

I almost wonder if I can swap in a 944 manual rack? _________________ It was either this or a giant box of legos |
