Hey!

Has anyone else had problems with the battery compartment freezing half full of ice and then freezing the battery to the point it has no juice left in it? How do you solve this issue?

Also my freaking headlights froze shut... I drove about 30 minutes at about 11 at night with no headlights to get home from my gf's :-S I took back roads so the police wouldn't try and go off on me after i got out of downtown(which I could have ran a couple races in if the stupid lights weren't froze shut...) I got it home and popped the hood and noticed a huge chunk of ice only on the passenger side that had froze the bracket of the light to the frame which prevented the motor from opening the lights. How do you fix that problem?

Just for fun why doesn't my car have any freaking torque??? It feels like it has only power... is there no such thing as torque in a 924??

If your battery tray is full of water that freezes, then the drains are plugged. Obviously you'll have to heat it to melt all the ice, then have a chance to deal with the tray drain and the battery.

The freezing of the headlights is not a great surprise, that will happen if they're obstructed. A coworker who drives an Eagle Talon AWD TSi for his winter beater had the same problem, took care of it for the winter by putting the headlights up and disconnecting the motor so they'll stay up until spring.

If the car feels like it has no torque, you may have a tuning issue. RTFAQ, and once it warms up take a look at the tuning (ignition timing, idle speed and mixture).

The frozen water in the battery tray worries me. Run the car untill the ice melts and clear the drain. The drain is a rubber plug on the firewall. 924s have problems with the battery tray leaking into inside on the passanger floormats. All that ice can not b good.
